I have been to Bannerghatta National Park last summer. It was a very beautiful experience to visit the park. Bannerghatta can be a very short and exciting weekend gateway for the Bangalorians. For those who are visiting Bangalore, should take one day time and visit this park.
A portion of the park is biological reserve, the Bannerghatta Biological park. It is a popular tourist destination with a zoo, a pet corner, an animal rescue center, butterfly enclosure, an aquarium, a snake house and a safari park.
I went there at morning at around 10.00 AM, visited the zoo and snake house. As we had to return in same day, we missed the safari.
The assorted collection of wildlife here includes elephants, leopards, jackal, fox, wild boar, spotted deer, royal Bengal tiger, zebra, cobra etc.
Blessed with the bounty of nature, the Bannerghatta National Park is a unique experience for an adult as well as children. It is an attraction for the nature lovers and the photographers.
It is located 22 KM away from Bangalore. There is direct bus service from Majestic to Bannerghatta. Timming is 9.30 AM to 5.00 PM, Wednesday to Monday and Tuseday close.
